Hello again team,

I just found a bug on the rom SVCPlus.zip. Some special moves, like the Iori's yagami 2626K, are broken. I try it on different versions of FBA and on different emulators and it is broken so it seems to be a problem derivated of the hack.

I have been trying different hacks like 'SvC Chaos - SNK vs Capcom Plus (bootleg, set 2)' and it is not working. 'Svcboot' work with no problem. There's also another one called 'svcsplus' that work with no problems but the question with that is it have the boss characters unlocked and it is no funny play with or against then.

Is there anyway to make svcboot work instead of svcplus?

Does the savestate you submitted in issue #6 fix the problem? or should we remove svcplus and add svcboot instead? in that case, can you send me a good savestate for svcboot?

What we want to do is take the good 263-m1.bin and 263-m1_decrypted.bin files from the rom-world MS4 and use them to replace the bad versions of the same files in the romnation MS4. Although it's not really a major compatibility issue. Loading '265-p1.bin' Loading '265-p2.bin' Loading 'NEO-GEO.ROM (Europe MVS (Ver. 2))' File not found. '265-m1_decrypted.bin' Press any button and i get. Name Size CRC SHA1 In MAME? 000-lo.lo: 131072: 5a86cff2: 5992277debadeb64d1c1c64b0a92d9293eaf7e4a: Yes-269-m1.bin: 524288: f6819d00: d3bbe09df502464f18ac6e2c1832c6.

No, the savestate i submitted in issue #6 do not fix this problem, only activate some options but, for example, the activation of the blood. does not work due to the bug on the 'plus' edition. You can see some of the errors here:

The 2 first screenshots and the two last are the major bugs. This website is hosting a patch but unaffortunaly we cannot patch the actual rom because it is not the one fba support :(. So the best option in order to not have a broken game is to put 'svcboot' instead 'svcplus' on the list. 'SvcSplus' (note the 'S' for 'Super') is other option but it have all the final bosses unlocked and it make the game very unbalanced.

I am going to try make a savestate with the normal secret characters unlocked and all the options. Please, be patient and thanks for read the issue :D.

A little summary:

-SVCPlus: Serious problems with bugs @ gameplay.
-SVCBoot: It's OK but miss some voices (like Geese Horward).
-SVC: Runs everything OK but i heard that is impossible to run over GGPO netcode, is that true?
-SVCSPlus: Some bugs from plus version fixed but have the Final Bosses unlocked and still no voices on some characters (Maybe it is based on SVCBoot).
-SVCpcb: This version works perfect. The only 'issue' for me is that the rom have to have inside sfix.sfx, 000-lo.lo and 269-bios.bin inside.

My votes goes for SVC, SVCpcb and SVCboot in this order. If you want we can try to execute SVC at the unsupported rom and see how it work (if you actually did not know :P).

I haven't used SVC at all. I think we should better try if the normal SVC works, and if it doesn't then you tell me which is the best version to keep, as I don't play this game and have no idea about what the community prefers.

MAME32 Plus! Plus! 0.119 Compatibility Issues
This thread is for discussing any compatibility issues that may arise in MAME32 Plus! Plus! 0.119. Please stay on topic.
To avoid incurring an official warning against your profile, DO NOT ask for or provide any rom related links! Rom sites can be mentioned here by name only and Google can easily take care of the rest.
I normally recommend romnation as a starting point for a good compatibility match with MAME32 Plus! Plus! 0.119. This is not necessarily a perfect solution though, but it does help get a lot of newbies off to a flying start.
That's a good thing!
For those using a rom manager like clrmamepro this thread is probably irrelevant. Since, at the time of writing, I've never come across any discussion related to rom managing tools here on the MA boards though, I'm guessing most people either don't know about such things, or don't have the time, energy or inclination to figure out a program like clrmamepro. I haven't bothered with it either so I'm hopeful that the info presented here can help people.
